Devon & Cornwall Training Network recently appointed consultants Filby Moore Associates to undertake a piece of work to review our overall business & to identify areas which we could improve upon for the future.

I know that several Network members were involved in the interviewing process with Filby Moore & I would like on behalf of DCTN to thank you for taking the time to voice your opinions. All comments have been taken into consideration & included in the final report produced by Filby Moore.

Whilst we have yet to finalise the coming year's programme, we have already set out the majority of the content and decided that we need to align the timing of our programme with all our members financial year, as in previous years our programmes have been set to run from September to July, with annual subscription renewals issued in April each year! Consequently, we are shortly to publish our plans for the 18 month period up until March 2012. We have to retain some flexibility given the uncertainty over spending and the likelihood of new government initiatives. The overall plan however mirrors the feedback from the Membership received over the past year and will take full account of the content of the Filby Moore report that we have recently been presented with. The content of this is also available on our website and has challenged us to explore new initiatives, so consultation will be very much to the fore as we move through the programme. Thoughts, ideas and comments are always welcome from our Membership, because that is our reason for being!
